About

Operation Sand is a group of individuals dedicated to protecting Ste. Genevieve county from the adverse impacts of silica sand mining near occupied residences and natural resources. 

 

Issues 

Though there are many concerns with silica sand mining. There are two major issues we are focusing on, the crystalline silica dust particles that are disbursed during the mining process and the dangerous chemicals that are used for silica sand processing.

Our attorney has been hard at work educating our community and elected officials of the detrimental effects of silica mining and what we can do to protect our community. All donations go directly to our legal fees as our fight continues.
